Blessings when you least expect them...

When we first came out here for the summer I applied to quite a few places. Mainly just retail type places but I had no luck and didn't hear back from anywhere. Between not finding any lead way from the jobs I had applied to and hearing on the news how high the unemployment rate is in California (and the rate is on a steady rise they show) I quickly lost hope of finding a job. Chad does pretty good at this job but with me sitting at home all day it made sense and makes me feel better to be working some too. I gave up hope on the work front and instead tried to keep myself busy. I've had fun here and there for sure but there is only so much reading/watching TV/crafting/swimming you can do (I understand this isn't the strongest argument because when we can't, we all wish we could do more of this but it does get old after awhile). On Monday morning, completely out of the blue, we got a call from the main offices for Chad's company. They just asked him if I wanted a job. Easy as that. For the next month or so I'll be working 5-10pm in the evening answering phones and scheduling installs for his company. Moral or the story? Don't go out and search for a job, wait until they come searching for you while you are sleeping in way too late! Just kidding... But I am grateful to be able to help us save money and keep busy so Chad isn't to only one working so hard around here.
