As it gets warmer, the less use our swamp cooler seems to be. It helps enough to use it but in order to not sweat in my house it seems I have to leave the air on, use both fans and keep all blinds closed at all times to try to block the sun from beating down in here. I know it isn't as warm as it is in St. George but without central air, its getting tough! Yesterday I spent 4 hours at the pool :) I'll survive thanks to the pool and Otter Pops, I'm just sad that my roses only lasted a couple days because they couldn't stand the heat. I tried keeping them cool but it was no use. I still love them since Chad got them for me, just sad they died so quick!

I'm not staying cool. :( We have a two story townhouse and our front windows have direct sunlight from 1pm until the sun sets around 9pm. It's so hot and I miss central air. I met a nice lady who told me about these eclipse shades at Wal-mart that have totally blocked out the sun and have made her rooms cooler, so I might try investing in some of those.
But for now, I sleep with two tower fans on and the windows open.
P.S. Very sad that your very pretty flowers melted. Dratted summer. :(
