Now for those who don't know, I am kind of a Disney freak :) I did an internship and worked at Magic Kingdom a few years back, not to mention have been going to Walt Disney World a couple of times a year with my family since I was born (no exaggeration, the first time I went to Disney out of the womb I was like two weeks old). But yesterday was monumental. At the age of 22, yesterday was my first ever trip to Disneyland.
Now I've talked to so many people who either swear Disneyland is WAY better or many more who would say that after growing up a Walt Disney World girl that Disneyland would be such a let down. Who do I side with, you ask? Neither. I still love Walt Disney World and it is totally fun how huge it is and how many parks there are but comparing Magic Kingdom to Disneyland (the most fair way to compare the two as I see it) I thought it was a tie. There are things that I completely love about both. Disneyland still felt just as Disney to me as my east coast roots. It was great to see that they have kept some of the classic rides that MK has revamped over the years (I'm talking Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Enchanted Tiki Room, etc.). Overall yesterday was defiantly a Magical Day!
Here is some of the fun:
Birthday Boy Chad on the tram! Almost to Disneyland...

I haven't been to Disneyland in YEARS! It's crazy how small the castle is. I didn't even know they weren't the same! I had NO idea that sleeping Beauty took place in LA and Cinderella took place in FL! So weird!
That's so fun that you got to go. I've never been to Disneyland either so it's nice to know there's still something to look forward to seeing as you grew up with DisneyWorld too. Tell your husband he's old for me. Just kidding, but do tell him Happy Birthday yesterday.
I'm glad you enjoyed our west coast Disney paradise. I never realized the difference in castles--one belongs to Sleeping Beauty and the other belongs to Cinderella--crazy!? Happy birthday, Chad!
