Better than Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree Anyday!
Yesterday Chad and I started what we have decided will be one of our Christmas traditions. We chopped down our own tree! This is something I have never done before but we defiantly weren’t left without some great new memories (and maybe some sore muscles). Chad went and got a permit from the BLM so we were legal and it only cost $10. Way cheaper than buying a live tree from Lowes or some place. We went out past Pine Valley where we are allowed to cut down trees. We got out there right at sunset which made it harder but we were able to find the tree right before the sun went down. The tree we came across was a great looking tree. The only problem is it had two trunks, meaning when you cut it down you have two pretty halves of a tree. Oh well… all the better! Two trees in one! Chad started cutting the tree with the saw and guess what… the saw broke apart! Haha Chad had to hike back to the truck to get another saw while I stood FREEZING waiting by our tree. He got back, chopped down our trees and then we drug them back to the truck. We had to go get a tree stand from Wal-mart before we could put the thing up but we got one and brought the tree in. We didn’t realize how crooked the trunk was until we had trouble getting the tree to stay up! So what did we do? Tied the tree to the wall using dental floss of course! You can’t tell and now the tree is stabilized. It smells wonderful! (And so do I after getting so much sap on me.) I love our Christmas tree! Now tonight we get to decorate!

I want to see your tree. See, pictures would be so useful. I love pictures. I probably can't speak much because I hardly post anything because I don't have good pictures, but oh well, we're talking about you right now so stop trying to change the subject.
I also meant to say, this is a hilarious story. I hear you enjoyed our Christmas tree story and I never told you that we also really enjoyed yours. Those dang Christmas trees, never staying up without some kind of ghetto string, I tell ya...
I would also like to see pictures of your two halves of a beautiful tree. Our tree is kinda plain this year, but it stands without string. It holds presents under it. And it's full of ornaments that Norm's great grandmother made, and ones Lilli made in school and "baby's first" ornanments and it's ours, for our family.
Hello...hope you don't mind I found your blog on Kyle and April's. Chad knows who we are...we wanted to say congrats on the Wedding. Good Luck and look forward to meeting you someday.
